Written for David Lynch & featured throughout Showtime’s limited event series Twin Peaks: The Return, Johnny Jewel’s solo album Windswept is a fourteen-part journey into the beauty & the horror one expects of the Lynchian. This collection is rich in midnight atmosphere & sullen, somnambulant synths — part plaintive ambience, part haunting lounge jazz, all ethereal & movingly other-worldly. Much of the album will be unforgettable for fans of Twin Peaks: several of these songs accompanied the show’s most enduring & indelible images.

Includes contributions by Desire & the divine rendition of “Blue Moon” performed by Chromatics. A record of deep sorrow & splendor, of overflowing misery & grace, Windswept is a both an indispensable counterpart to Twin Peaks & a self-contained marvel on its own.

Outside the offices of Lucky 7 Insurance in Nevada, clutching reams of paperwork, feeling for something he can’t quite articulate, Dougie Jones stands at the base of a bronze statue. A melancholic saxophone calls out to him from beyond…Windswept.
